If you would like SVP to benefit from this available tax refund, simply place your cash donation in the SVP envelope provided (available in this church or from the SVP Collector). In this month of October we are invited to think and pray about:

1.   The Sacredness of all Human Life   Today we pray especially for all
who are terminally ill and for those who care for them.

2.  The 40th Anniversary of the Canonisation of St. Oliver Plunkett:   12th October 2015

3.  The Missions   Sunday 18th October is Mission Sunday and we pray for the Mission of the whole Church and for all those sent on mission.

4.  Consecrated Life We pray for all the religious of this Diocese living and dead. On Mission Sunday at 3.00 p.m., in the Cathedral, Waterford there is a special Liturgy of the Word to which all are invited.

5.  The Synod on the Family taking place in Rome.
With Pope Francis we pray:

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate the splendour of true love, to you we turn with trust.

Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic Churches.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division: May all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.

Holy Family of Nazareth, may the approching Synod of Bishops make us more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God’s plan.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer.  Amen.
