EUCHARISTIC ADORATION  Our Parish Eucharistic Adoration takes place each week Monday from 2.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. (except when Monday is a Public Holiday).

 

World Mission Sunday is being celebrated next Sunday 19th October. (Last year €50,693 was collected in this Diocese). The theme this year is: “That we may have Life”. There will be a second collection after Communion. Those who have a Mission Sunday Envelope in their box of envelopes, please put in the basket.

 

October – Pray the Rosary for Life and for the Missions  October is the month of the Rosary. It is also the month when we celebrate World Mission Sunday (19th). Rosary Cards are available in the Church. Please take these as a help to praying the Rosary.

 

Legion of Mary Meetings will now be held every Thursday evening instead of Monday evening at 7.30 p.m. in St. Oliver’s Parish.

 

Music in the Liturgy with facilitator Dominic Finn will take place in St. John’s Pastoral Centre, Waterford on Thursday 16th October at 7.30 p.m. Dominic Finn studied arts and music at UCC and was awarded his Diploma in Church Music from NUI Maynooth. Dominic is currently Director of Music at St. Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh, Co. Cork. He teaches music full-time at Coláiste Muire Secondary School in Cobh. Booking essential.  Tel 051-874199.

 

Carers Association will hold a Mini Marathon on Sunday 19th October. Marathon starts at 12.00 Noon from Hotel Minella. Registration can be done on line at www.carersireland.com or by calling to Richie Molloy at the Carers Office, Sarsfield St. Clonmel. Tel 052-6170455

 

Glencomeragh Set Dancing Weekend will take place from Friday 24th – Sunday 26th October with Workshops by Michael and Kathleen McGlynn and Dancing from Friday at 7.00 p.m. until Sunday at 4.00 p.m. Featuring Cúpla Céili Band on Saturday from 8.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. Beginners are welcome. Save our Acute Hospital Services Committee will hold a Fundraiser Table Quiz on Thursday 30th October at 9.00 p.m. at Liam Daly’s Pub, O’ Connell Street, Clonmel. Table of four €20. All are welcome.

 

Community Education Programmes St. Oliver’s Parish Centre The following programmes may be available in the near future depending on demand:  – Yoga, – Sewing and Getting to know your machine, – Basic Cookery and Healthy Eating.  If interested in any of the above programmes contact the Parish Office Tel 6125679.
