EUCHARISTIC ADORATION  Our Parish Eucharistic Adoration takes place each week Monday from 2.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. (except when Monday is a Public Holiday).

 

Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)  The next meeting will be on Monday 1st December at 8.00 p.m. in the Parish Centre. We need some more volunteers for this important service to our Parish.

 

Stroke Support Group  Meeting for encouragement, support and advice for stroke survivors, family members and carers will take place at St. Oliver’s Parish Centre this Tuesday evening 2nd December at 8.00 p.m. Contact: Gemma 087-9129263 or Sandra 087-1419365.

 

First Friday  Next Friday is the First Friday of the month. Sr. Mary and Fr. Hegarty will bring Holy Communion to the persons who have asked to receive it in their own homes.

 

Vintage Coffee Morning  in aid of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will take place on Friday 5th December at Place 4U, Morton Street, Clonmel from 10.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. All your support would be much appreciated.

 

Divine Mercy Devotions  for First Friday will take place in SS Peter & Paul’s Church on Friday 5th December at 3.00 p.m. All are welcome.

 

Christmas Fair  run by Clonmel Union of Parishes will take place on Sunday 7th December from 1.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m. at Old St. Mary’s, Mary Street, Clonmel. Cake Sale, Bric A Brac, Visit Santa (& Mrs Claus), Christmas Cards, Christmas Fair Stalls and lots more. All are welcome.

 

The Annual Console Christmas Celebration of Light Remembering loved ones lost to suicide will take place on Sunday 7th December at 4.00 p.m. in St. Oliver’s Church. See posters for details.

 

The Tipperary Millennium Orchestra will hold their annual gala Christmas concert in Ss Peter & Paul’s Church on Sunday 7^th December at 8.00 pm. The orchestra will be joined by Derek Ryan and the members of the Gaudeamus Choir. Tickets will be available on the night.

 

Youth 2000 Christmas Retreat  Youth 2000 Ireland will be hosting their annual Christmas Retreat in Newbridge College, Newbridge, Co. Kildare from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th December. Over 500 young people from across Ireland (aged 16-35) are expected at this donation only event, with all newcomers very welcome. This is a great opportunity to find out what your faith is all about in a friendly, chilled out atmosphere. Free buses available. Our Annual Mass for Bereaved will be held in St. Oliver’s Church on Tuesday 18th November at 7.30 p.m.  All who have been bereaved at any time are welcome.  There will be a special Ceremony of Remembrance, during which you will be invited to light a candle in memory of your departed loved ones.  You are most welcome for a “cuppa” in our Parish Centre afterwards.

Prayer for the Dead

God of infinite mercy, we entrust to your immense goodness all those who have left this world for eternity, where you await all humanity, redeemed by the precious blood of Christ Your Son, who died to save us from our sins.

Look not Lord, at our poverty, misery and human weaknesses when we present ourselves before you to be judged in happiness or condemned.

Gaze upon us with pity, born of your tender heart and help us to walk the path of purification. May none of your children be lost to the eternal fires of hell, where repentance is no more.

We entrust to you Lord, the souls of our beloved departed, of those who died without the comfort of the Sacraments or who did not have opportunity to repent, not even at the end of their life.

May no one fear the encounter with You at the end of their earthly pilgrimage, in the hope of being welcomed within the embrace of your infinite mercy. May sister death find us in prayerful vigilance, and full of all the good we have done during our existance, be it long or short.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION  Our Parish Eucharistic Adoration takes place each week Monday from 2.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. (except when Monday is a Public Holiday).  There will be no Adoration on Bank Holiday Monday 27th October.

 

Confirmation 2015  The girls and boys who are to be confirmed here on Sunday 1st March next year had their Enrolment/Commitment Service during a Mass on Tuesday evening last. As a Parish Community, we keep them and also their families and their teachers in our prayers.

 

A Revised Eucharistic Ministers Rota  for November and December ’14 is available in the Sacristy in the church.

As usual a Novena of Masses will be offered for our beloved dead. The times of the Novena Mass will vary as follows:

Thursday 6th — 7.30 p.m.

All during November we will remember at all Masses those who are on the Altar List of the Dead. World Mission Sunday  –  A Prayer

God of truth and love, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our prayer for those who do not know you.

That they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth and that your name may be praised among all the peoples of the world.

Sustain, inspire and enlighten your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigour to wavering faith: sustain our faith when it is still fragile.

Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church; raise up new missionaries who will follow you to the ends of the world.

Make us witnesses to your goodness, full of love, strength and faith for your glory and for the salvation of the entire world.

Music in the Liturgy with facilitator Dominic Finn will take place in St. John’s Pastoral Centre, Waterford on Thursday 16th October at 7.30 p.m. Dominic Finn studied arts and music at UCC and was awarded his Diploma in Church Music from NUI Maynooth.
